How I Grew as an HR Professional Inside of the MIP
PROJXON

PROJXON offers a unique environment where learning happens by doing. From day one, I was immersed in real work, gaining hands-on experience that most internships don’t provide. I was trusted to contribute meaningfully, given ownership over my work, and encouraged to think critically and creatively. That exposure gave me practical skills and the confidence I needed to apply them as someone just beginning their professional journey.
When I first joined PROJXON, I was a student with zero professional experience. I knew the lessons taught in the classroom were useful and relevant, but I had never actually applied them. Having no prior work experience, like many others, I struggled with imposter syndrome, wondering if I was truly ready to step into a professional role. My time at PROJXON changed that.
Beyond the technical experience, PROJXON played a major role in helping me develop essential professional skills. Collaborating with my fellow participants helped me grow my interpersonal and communication abilities. Working in a fast-paced startup environment taught me how to manage my time effectively, prioritize tasks, and stay organized under pressure. Just as importantly, I began to understand the inner workings of businesses and develop the business acumen that will continue to benefit me throughout my career.
In addition to being given the opportunity to develop my skills tremendously, arguably the most transformative part of my experience was overcoming impostor syndrome. At PROJXON, I wasn’t treated like “just an intern”; I was treated like a valued and highly skilled member of the team. That trust, autonomy, and mentorship provided me with the confidence I needed to believe in my own capabilities.
For anyone considering a role at PROJXON, know that you’re stepping into an opportunity unlike any other. It’s more than an internship, it’s a launchpad for your professional journey. I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to kickstart my own journey.
